CASE STUDY: BIMBO MONTREAL
What transforms a brand-new event concept into a sold-out success in under a year?
Spoiler: it’s not just paid ads.
In a climate where many businesses are scaling back on organic content due to the increasingly "pay-to-play" nature of social media, event success still hinges on a thoughtful, authentic organic approach. For Good Monday Creative, this meant more than just creating a content calendar—it meant building a cultural movement from scratch.
Enter BIMBO: a new queer nightlife series focused on pop music, cultural irreverence, and inclusive party vibes. BIMBO set out to bring something missing from Montreal's nightlife: a high-energy, pop-forward dance party where queer folks could unapologetically let loose, connect, and serve lewks.
The Challenge
✦ No past events. No brand recognition.
✦ No social content or proof of concept.
✦ A city saturated with house and techno events, where pop isn’t always taken seriously.
✦ An audience that sniffs out inauthenticity from a mile away.
To launch BIMBO successfully, we needed to do more than just promote a party—we had to build a brand and community from the ground up.
The Strategy
1. Build a Bold, Irresistible Brand from Day One
We created a visual identity and tone of voice that felt instantly iconic—loud, sexy, cheeky, and unmistakably queer. Every post, caption, and story dripped with personality, building brand equity before a single ticket link went live.
2. Design a Smart Organic Social Strategy
From teasers and countdowns to cheeky behind-the-scenes content, our social media strategy emphasized showing up often and showing up authentically. We structured content around:
Hype cycles and key momentum moments
Event and outfit planning prompts
Influencer co-created content
Community engagement via polls, replies, and comment threads
3. Partner with the Right People
We activated a curated group of queer Montreal creators, DJs, and scene leaders who already had the trust of our target audience. Their endorsement wasn’t just for reach—it was for legitimacy.
4. Make Engagement a Full-Time Job
No comment left behind. Our team managed all DMs and comments, responding in the event’s signature voice and creating 1:1 connections that helped turn casual followers into committed attendees.
The Results
✦ 3 SOLD OUT EVENTS, with attendance growing every time
✦ 3,000+ Instagram followers, with exceptionally high engagement
✦ 30+ influencer partnerships, built through genuine community relationships
✦ Dozens of UGC outfit posts, recap videos, and rave reviews—BIMBO quickly became a staple of queer nightlife in Montreal

Let’s make some noise. all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
